LWMC Church Camp 2025 – Info for Campers

Date: 6 December (Saturday) to 9 December (Tuesday).
Venue: Renaissance Hotel, Johor Bahru.
Theme: Sons and Daughters of the House

A) Before the Camp:

  1. 9 November Camp Briefing Slides (camp schedule, meeting rooms & ballrooms layout plan, and suggested packing list e.g. sweater for air-conditioned ballrooms).

  2. VEP instructions (for those who are driving there).

  3. Insurance – a reminder to buy your own insurance for the duration of the church camp.

  4. Except for ASEAN nationals, please check for visa requirements to enter Malaysia.
    If you need to apply for visa, you can apply for eVisa online: https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my/

  5. Except for Singaporeans and other categories of foreign citizens who are exempted: please submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within 3 days before entering Malaysia.

B) Day 1 – Saturday (6 Dec):

1. Those who are taking the bus:

  • Meet at ACS(I) before 8.45am; go up to the Space Frame at level 3.
    Please do not be late as the bus will leave for JB at 9.00am.
  • please be reminded not to park your cars inside the school during the camp.
  • it is advisable to bring along your blue LWMC card in case there are any issues with the school security upon entry.

2. Those who are self-driving to hotel:

  • Driving Instructions to Renaissance JB Hotel (PDF) – please arrive at hotel by 4pm (camp briefing at ballroom).
  • Driving Video (Route to Renaissance JB Hotel)
  • Register for parking at the hotel through link provided in the official Church Camp chat (by 5pm on 6 December), or enquire with the hotel staff upon arrival.

3. Upon arrival, you can deposit your luggage at the ballroom. Lunch on Day 1 is free & easy on your own.
There will be an opening briefing at 4.00pm at the ballroom. Check-in will start only after the briefing.
Room key collection may take some time, depending on when the hotel can release the keys to us; we ask for your patience and understanding in advance.

Note: For those who are not going to the church camp, please note there will be no onsite worship service held at the Chapel on 7 December. You can watch a delayed telecast of the service that will be held at the church camp venue.
